Terms of Service
Last updated: September 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mindful AI Practitioner Certification website and course platform (the "Service"), operated by Mindful AI LLC ("Mindful AI," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or enrolling in the course, you agree to these Terms.
The Course
The Service provides an 8-week educational program on integrating AI into mindfulness teaching practice, culminating in a Mindful AI Practitioner certificate. The certificate reflects completion of our curriculum and is not an accreditation, license, or professional credential issued or recognized by any government body, licensing board, or third-party accrediting agency.
No Guarantee of Results
Completing the course does not guarantee any particular teaching outcome, client result, employment outcome, or income. Testimonials and examples reflect individual experiences and are not a promise of similar results.
Not Medical, Mental Health, or Legal Advice
The Service is educational in nature and does not provide medical, mental health, clinical, or legal advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional care. If you or a participant you teach is experiencing a medical or mental health crisis, seek help from a qualified professional or emergency services. Clinicians remain solely responsible for their own scope of practice and clinical judgment.
Third-Party AI Tools and Trademarks
The Service discusses, evaluates, and may reference third-party AI products by name (for example, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or similar tools) for educational and illustrative purposes only. Mindful AI is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, or any other maker of the AI tools discussed in the course, and all related names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Any opinions or evaluations we offer about a third-party tool are our own and are not a representation from that tool's maker. Likewise, references to the MBI:TAC teaching assessment framework, developed by Dr. Rebecca Crane at Bangor University, are for attribution only; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Bangor University or Dr. Crane.
Assumption of Risk: Use of AI Tools
Any AI tool you use during the course, or in your own teaching practice after completing it, is a third-party product outside our control. AI tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading output presented with unwarranted confidence, and are not a substitute for professional mental health care. Extended or unsupported reliance on AI chat tools has been associated with unhealthy overattachment and, in vulnerable individuals, worsened confusion or distorted thinking. This risk is not unique to any tool discussed in this course, and it exists independent of anything taught here. By using any AI tool in connection with the Service, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you, not Mindful AI, are responsible for evaluating whether and how to use a given AI tool with yourself, your students, or your clients, and for recognizing when a situation calls for a licensed professional rather than an AI tool.
Professional Responsibility
If you are a therapist, clinician, or licensed mindfulness teacher, you remain solely responsible for complying with your own licensing board's rules, scope of practice, and confidentiality obligations (including with respect to any client or patient information) when you use AI tools in your own practice. Nothing in the Service establishes a supervisory, clinical, or advisory relationship between you and Mindful AI regarding your use of AI tools with your own students or clients.
Payment, Enrollment, and Refunds
Enrollment fees are due at the time of purchase and are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Course Content and Intellectual Property
All course materials, including videos, workbooks, frameworks (including the Bounded Convergence Framework and Alaya Evaluative Framework), and assessments, are owned by Mindful AI or its licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly share course materials without our prior written consent.
Community Forum Conduct
If you participate in the community forum or submit assignments, you agree to communicate respectfully and not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes on others' rights. We may remove content or restrict access for violations of this section.
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; this does not entitle you to a refund except as described in our Refund Policy.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mindful AI and its founders, instructors, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes to the Service or These Terms
We may update these Terms or modify the Service (including course content and scheduling) from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mindful AI LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
